The Tributes

In chapter 4, there starts to be somewhat of a confusing relationship between Katniss and her fellow tribute Peeta. They begin the journey on a train to the city of Panem; a high-tech and shining place where eveyone is wealthier and happier.  They meet their coach: a drunk past District 12 tribute named Haymitch and some other colorful characters. Haymitch is usually pretty intoxicated to fucntion very well, but when he and Peeta get into a fight one morning during breakfeast, it scares Katniss. She begins to realize that Peeta may be kind, but all in all he is trying to do his best to kill anyone-including her. So, who is Peeta REALLY; the sweet boy who gave Katniss bread long ago, or the desperate fighter trying to kill her?
